About

My story
I trained and worked within Fashion Design for several years until I realised what I most enjoy is creative problem solving and delivering designs which meet customers needs. I knew I wanted a change, so I left fashion and started my handmade gifts company Florencia in 2018.
During this time I explored new professions and found that I love working within the tech industry. So I researched roles that combined creative problem solving, e-commerce and tech then enrolled on a UX Design course with CareerFoundry.
The course taught me key principles and skills within UX Design which I learnt and applied whilst designing the Nalu responsive web app. My design background equipped me with transferable skills which I used when learning about UI Design.
Following the UX Design course I completed an intensive Frontend specialism module which involved creating my portfolio website using HTML, CSS & JavaScript. I think that knowing the possibilities and limitations of design makes me a better designer.
